Fundraisers are a part of life and way for groups and companies to give back to the community. You can give back, too, by doing your part and helping with fundraising events, donating your time, energy, gifts and / or funds to the fundraisers to help raise awareness of the groups? activities and support.

Donating funds to charity is a chance to put your money where your mouth is. Actions speak louder than words and investing in the work of charities can guarantee progress is made advancing nonprofit causes in which you believe.

Involve your children in the process, where applicable. Tell them about different causes, include them in charitable events and ask them to consider sharing a portion of their allowance to help causes they can understand. This will lead to a lifetime of caring, giving and happiness.

It will be good if you and the charity you consider to donate gifts consider methods of donating like bequests, charitable gift annuities, gifts-in-kind, endowments and many others. You can ask your tax advisor or attorney to help you make the best plan for you, your family and for the charities you support.

There are different ways in which you can donate gifts to fundraisers. Some people:

Do not wait to be asked to give a donation, be proactive. Take control of your generosity by researching causes, finding stable and effective charities, and by investing in making the world better now and for future generations.

Christmas recipe ingredients:

poussins, 3, about 700 g (1.5 lb) each

salt and pepper

kumquats, 225 g (8 oz)

garlic cloves, 16

olive oil, 30 ml (2 tbsp)

unsalted butter, 25 g (1 oz)

bay leaves, 2

dry cider, 450 ml (15 fl oz)

apple juice, 200 ml (7 fl oz)

double cream, 200 ml (7 fl oz)

garnish, thyme sprigs

Christmas recipe instructions:

1. Cook the unpeeled garlic cloves in salted boiling water for about 5 minutes. Then cool and peel. Cut the kumquats in half. Split the poussins in half along the breast bone, having removed the backbone. Use about 10 ml (2 tsp) of salt to cover the skin side.
